Day 1
Day 01: CUSCO - CLOUD FOREST - BAMBU LODGE
Duration: Total time 9 ½ hours including mainly the bus trip; without considering the information stops. Leaving the city of Cusco (3400 masl / 11156ft) very early in the morning in one of our land transports. Touring the interesting inter-Andean valleys and Andean communities. We will visit the Pre-Inca site, then we will arrive at the town of Paucartambo (3025m/9924ft) with Spanish colonial architecture; Folklore capital of Cusco and visit to the interesting museum. Continuing we arrive at the Acjanaco pass (4000m/13123ft) from here we descend to the Cloud Forest to enjoy our lunch along the way, this is a place with many endemic species such as the Cock of the Rock, the national bird of Peru, so we will visit a platform observation area (1600masl/5000ft), we will also be able to observe orchids, bromeliads and tree ferns, and continuing we will arrive at our accommodation in the cloud forest where we will spend the first night of our tour. Day 2
Day 02: BAMBU LODGE - ATALAYA - SOGA DE ORO LODGE
In the morning after a delicious breakfast, the bus will take the group to the port of Atalaya, on the way we will visit the Hummingbird Garden, then we will continue to Soga de oro Lodge along the Alto Madre de Dios River. On our trip you will be able to appreciate amazing landscapes, and also enjoy the warm climate of the tropical jungle. In the afternoon we have a walk exploring the jungle for a few hours to see alligators, birds and medicinal plants.

Day 3
Day 03: SOGA DE ORO LODGE - PARROT LINK - LAKE MACHUHUASI
Very early in the morning we will travel by boat for approximately 25 minutes to a parrot clay lick, where we can see green parrots, macaws and, if we are lucky, also some other birds or small animals. After that, we will return to the lodge for breakfast. Then we will begin a 2-hour walk to reach the top of a hill from where we will have an incredible view of the jungle, the Alto Madre de Dios River and some towns. On the way to the top our guide will show us incredible plants and original insects. If we are lucky, we might see some monkeys. At the top of the hill we will have a snack before beginning a 2-hour descent that will take us back to the lodge. We will have lunch there. In the afternoon we can decide to rest or take another walk to look for more animals. Night at the Lodge.

Day 4
Day 04: SOGA DE ORO LODGE - ATALAYA - CUSCO
After a delicious breakfast, unfortunately it will be time to return to Cusco: first by boat to the port of Atalaya, and then by bus to return to Cusco. On the way back, weather permitting, we can do another hike in the cloud forest for our last chance to see some animals. Our return trip to Cusco will last all day and we will be back in the Inca Capital City. **NOTE: The order of the activities mentioned in this program may change according to weather conditions. In the Jungle the weather is very unpredictable, especially during the rainy season, and weather conditions can affect the program since the animals are also affected in their daily activities by the rain. Feel free to talk to your guide about it to change the order of activities or find alternative things to do in case of bad weather! And remember, we have no responsibility for the weather and the number of animals you will see: enjoy the jungle and good luck!
