At 7:30 a.m., we’ll begin picking up guests from hotels in downtown Arequipa, and at 8:00 a.m., we’ll depart for the Colca Canyon, considered one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Along the way, we’ll make scenic stops at Pampa Cañahuas to see vicuñas, in Patahuasi to enjoy traditional coca tea, at the Toccra Wetlands where alpacas graze, and at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of the tour (4,800 meters above sea level), offering breathtaking views of the Western Cordillera. Around 12:30 p.m., we’ll arrive in the town of Chivay, where we’ll have time for lunch (not included) and to check into our hotels. In the afternoon, there will be an option to visit the hot springs (admission not included), which are ideal for relaxing. In the evening, those who wish may enjoy dinner with a folkloric show (optional). Overnight stay in Chivay.
After breakfast, we’ll head to the Cruz del Cóndor Lookout, located just 30 minutes from Chivay. This is the best spot to admire the majesty of the Colca Canyon and watch the Andean condor’s impressive flight. We’ll stay there for about 45 minutes. On the way back, we’ll make stops at various overlooks to appreciate the beauty of the valley’s agricultural terraces, and we’ll also visit the town of Maca, where we can see its colonial church and, if you’d like, sample local drinks such as the traditional Colca Sour. At 12:00 p.m., we’ll have time for lunch in Chivay (not included). At 1:00 p.m., we’ll begin the return trip to Arequipa. If, due to weather or other conditions, we were unable to visit a particular spot on the way there, we may include it on the return trip. At approximately 5:00 p.m., we’ll arrive in the city of Arequipa and drop off passengers near the Plaza de Armas.
