Lares Trek to Machu Picchu 4D/3N

At 5:00 a.m., a private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and transfer the group to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where our trek begins. Along the way, we will pass archaeological remains, Andean markets, cultivated Inca terraces, and several small villages. Finally, we will reach the highest point at Huacawasi (4,450 m). From there, the route descends all the way to the beautiful Lares Valley (3,250 m), where we will have time to relax in the natural hot springs. We will also have lunch there and meet the rest of our trekking team: the cook, the llama herders, and the horses that will carry all the food, our backpacks, and the camping equipment. We will begin our trek with a three-hour uphill hike to Wacawasi, where we will set up camp. That afternoon, we will have a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the local residents and admire their traditional woven handicrafts. We may even take part in lessons on the ancient weaving techniques used to create their distinctive textiles.
