PORCÓN FARM & WINDOWS OF OTUZCO

It begins with pickup from your hotel in Cajamarca to transfer to the sculpture workshop in Huambocancha, where local artisans work with volcanic stone. A few kilometers away, we will continue to the pine forest of the religious community of Porcón, the largest in Peru, where arbotherapy is practiced and pure air is breathed. In this place we will visit the zoo, home to animals rescued from captivity, the weaving workshop that preserves ancestral techniques, as well as the trout farm and the possibility of taking a relaxing horseback ride (optional). Then we will enjoy a delicious typical lunch within the same community. We will continue with the cultural and historical exploration in the Ventanillas de Otuzco, ancient funerary niches of the Caxamarca culture, in addition to the visit to the Shumac Rumi Museum, the Las Hortensias Botanical Garden and the Los Alpes Farm, where excellent quality cheeses and dairy products are tasted. Finally, we will cross the suspension bridge and then return to Cajamarca.
