Day 1
DAY 1: CUSCO (3400MSNM/11156FT)-CLOUDY FOREST (980MSNM/3248FT)-GALLITO DE LA ROCA LODGE (1392MSNM/4576FT)
Total time: Total time 9 1/2 hours approx. including mainly traveling by bus and boat; without taking into account the information stops. Leaving Cusco (3400m/11156ft), very early in the morning, we begin a 10-hour trip over the Andes in our private bus, along a road that partly climbs up to 4000 meters above sea level. We travel through traditional Quechua communities and through the spectacular eastern mountain ranges of the Andes, along the way, we have a few stops, to see the pre-Inka cemetery of Ninamarca (3800 masl / 124673 feet) or to visit the famous folkloric village of Paucartambo (3025 masl / 9924 feet). We then continue towards "Acjanaco" (4000m / 13123 ft), the entrance of the park from here we descend the eastern slopes of the Andes through the cloud forest with lush vegetation (bromeliads, ferns, orchids, etc.) in the cloud forest ( 1600m / 5000ft) we can see wildlife such as our national bird: the bright red Cock-of-the-Rock (Rupicola peruviana) showing its mating dance. You can see quetzals, trogons, brightly colored tanagers and possibly the first monkeys, such as the capuchin monkey or woolly monkeys. We continue walking along the road until we arrive before nightfall at the Cock of the Rock Lodge (1392masl / 4576ft) where we will spend the first night. Day 2
DAY 2: CLOUD FOREST (980MSNM/3248FT)-DORADO LODGE (300MSNM/986FT)
Total time: Total time 9 hours approx. including mainly traveling by bus and boat; without taking into account the information stops. After a very early breakfast we will continue by bus to Pilcopata (527masl / 1729 feet) and then to the port of Atalaya (500masl / 1640 feet) located on the Alto Madre de Dios River, from here we will begin to navigate downriver in our tourist boat to enjoy the opportunity to see the great diversity of birds such as egrets, vultures, cormorants, later we can visit an Amazonian lagoon (Machuhuasi) with a high probability of seeing Hoatzins, a very interesting bird with a ruminant digestive system among other different species of birds , finishing our visit we are walking back to our boat continuing downriver to the hot springs where we are visiting and at the same time enjoying our lunch, then we head by boat downriver to our accommodation for the night, arriving at Dorado Lodge (500 m above sea level), where we will have dinner and then spend the night in double rooms with private bathrooms. Night walk along the lodge's trails to observe nocturnal fauna. Overnight at the accommodation: Dorado Lodge (300m/986ft).

Day 3
DAY 3: DORADO LODGE (300MSNM/986FT)-CASA MACHIGUENGA (370MSNM/1213FT)
Total time: Total time 10 hours approx. mainly including boat trips; without considering stops for lunch and bathroom services. This day is special, because we will visit the famous reserved area of the Manu National Park and we will travel along the enigmatic Manu River, where you can observe the wonderful fauna of this pristine place. In the morning, if there is activity, we can visit a clay lick where many species of parakeets and parrots eat clay every day. Also smaller macaws, such as the chestnut-fronted parrot and the blue-headed parrot, can be found there. After this, we took our boat for about 45 minutes down the "Madre de Dios" river. Then we will enter the reserved area of the Manu National Park, we will stop briefly at the Limonal ranger station (310 meters above sea level / 1017 feet) to sign the visitor book of the Reserve Zone and we will continue our journey for approximately 5-6 hours by the Manu River until you reach the Casa Machiguenga Lodge that belongs to the legendary Machiguenga people. Along the way, from the boat, we can see a lot of biodiversity such as birds, capybaras and several species of monkeys, two species of alligators and maybe tapirs. With luck we will also be able to see the largest cat in South America: the jaguar. Before arriving at our accommodation is the opportunity to visit the observation tower in the Otorongo lagoon area after 15 minutes of walking along the access trail, then we visit a 50 meters / 164 feet tall giant ceiba tree before take our boat and after 30 minutes downriver we reach the access to the trail (5 minutes) to Casa Machiguenga. Day 4
DAY 4: CASA MACHIGUENGA LODGE (370MSNM/1213FT)
Full day According to the reservation list at the Limonal ranger station, we are allowed to visit Lake Salvador by catamaran with the best chance of encountering the resident family of giant otters there. This day we will visit by catamaran the famous "Cocha Salvador" lagoon, home of the giant otters, this Cocha Salvador is the highlight in the Manu park, especially in the dry season, it is loaded with birds that nest and feed on herons, Egrets, alligators (South American relatives of alligators), terns, skimmers, bump-headed and large-headed capuchin monkeys generally feed on nearby fruits, naming only a few of them. A visit to the macaw clay lick in the late morning and later to enjoy our lunch at the accommodation. In the afternoon we have time to explore the trails on the other side of the Manu River and walk in the primary forests of the Amazon jungle in search of woolly monkeys, where the sensation is unique, since we are in an ecosystem that has remained unchanged since the formation of the amazon. DAY 5: CASA MACHIGUENGA (370MSNM/1213FT)-DORADO LODGE (300MSNM/986FT)
Total time: Total time 6 hours approx. including mainly trips by land transportation; without considering stops for lunch and bathroom services. Today we start the day very early with a breakfast and in the mental time our boat will prepare to begin navigating the stream (4 hours approx.) to the Limonal Park Ranger Station (310 masl / 1017 feet) where the park rangers are verifying that everything Go well, then we will navigate upstream of the Alto Madre de Dios River for approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arriving at the native community of Diamante to visit some of our friends, they are explaining to us about the Amazonian culture and offering crafts as souvenirs. At the end of our visit we are returning to our boat down the river for approximately 1.5 hours. to Dorado Lodge and enjoying our lunch at the same time. DAY 6: DORADO LODGE (300MSNM/986FT)-CUSCO (3400MSNM/11156FT)
Total time: Total time 9 hours approx. including mainly trips by land transportation; without considering stops for lunch and bathroom services. Very early in the morning after our breakfast we are carrying our luggage along the trail to the road where we will take our 4x4 transportation from Dorado Lodge, on a trip of approximately 1 hour to Salvación where we will take our tourist bus continuing driving through the new communal integration road of Manu, the road crosses the ecosystems of the Amazon rainforest, cloud forest and highlands, we make a stop for lunch in Paucartambo then we continue crossing the Andes to the city of Cusco. We arrived in the city of Cusco (3400m/11156ft): around 5pm; Transfer to your hotel.
