Ausangate Trekking: This beautiful hike to high ground around the mountain Ausangate (two of them on 4800msnm). The peak Ausangate considered by local people as a sacred Apu and is the most powerful of pilgrimage for today descendants of Quechua central point. This hike can also be combined with the famous festival of Inti Raymi, Festival of the Sun in Cusco or the winter solstice festival in the snowy mountains Qoyllority in front of Ausangate.
We started the trip by bus at 06:00 am to make some stops on the route, passing through typical villages sympathetic to the mountains, on the heights of Urcos the scenery is spectacular, you can see all the Cordillera Vilcanota. Then we arrived at the Ocongate population, large population of great historical significance (Lord of Qoyllorrity) and after 30 minutes we reached the town of Tinky located at 3850 meters above sea level, reaching our first camp where we spend the night. This is the place where we will start our trek. (Lunch and dinner).
After breakfast we begin the trek to a step of 4500 m and then continue on the slopes of Mount Ausangate, noting gaps in different colors without neglecting the high Andes of the inhabitants of this area customs and also enjoy the presence of large amounts of Llamas, Alpacas. We visit the small town of Upis (4140m) which will be held in our camp (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
After breakfast, continue the journey brisk towards the town of Pacchanta in the tour we will see great views and we also see different species of Andean birds, this area is known as the natural reserve of huallatas and vizcachas and other wild animals place. This day will arrive early to camp to enjoy the thermal baths and exquisite Pachamanca. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
After breakfast, we will walk 3 hours through typical Andean landscape and then arrive at the village of Tinqui where we have lunch then board the bus back to Cusco. (Breakfast lunch).
